An 18 Year Quest May Have Finally Ended

It is hard to believe I know but I have been searching for a replacement for blue SL1200 hat (RIP wherever you are) for over 18 years now, ever since it was lost by some girl in some club in Tampa in early early 1999. Said some girl still claims to have no memory of the events surrounding the loss of my most treasured hat, and possibly most treasured material possession overall. We remain friends but the hat incident is a constant source of tension.

Over the year there have been a few pretenders but none have ever really seriously challenged for the title. I had just assumed I would go to my grave never knowing another hat like it. It’s still early and I don’t want to curse things by getting too excited but could this be the one? What are the odds that it would be another blue hat that would steal my heart? I’m sort of in a daze right now so I’m just going to calm down and take things nice and slow. Spend some quality time with her and see how things develop. If it doesn’t work out oh well there’s always some other hat out there for me to try. I mean it’s been 18 years \, what’s another couple of months? God please let this be the one! For comparison I am attaching one of the two remaining images of blue SL1200, and ironically the very first of blue junglist.

Blue junglist — I am feeling something very deep inside me right now. A stirring I have not felt in a long time. Could it be true love or is it just a passing fascination with something shiny, exciting, and new? And still kind of got that acorn cheek thing going on. Weird.
