Artificial Intelligence is the Only Field Where Moving Further and Further Away from the Goal is Celebrated as An Achievement

A Graphic That Says it All

I did not even have to modify this one. Ever smaller subsets creating larger and larger disruptions. Eventually the subsets will reach Planck’s length in size and we will run out of smart sounding random words to combine into new terms that are logical contradictions (e.g. machine learning) or nonsensical/absurd (e.g. deep learning, systems of intelligence). At that point the disruptions will be so large as to almost encompass the entire Universe. Given the track record so far, we will however, still not have invented/made/created AI.
