As an actual practicing scientist I couldn’t agree more. Data analysis is no doubt the most boring part of my day to day activities. Luckily, as an actual scientist I have the other parts of the scientific method that are required for doing science and being a scientist to fall back on when I get bored. I can work on hypothesis generation, experimental design, notebooking/recording of results, etc. whenever I get tired of the grind of crunching numbers. Of course you must have the same options being a scientist yourself? Right?
