As an infectious disease fellow with the centers for disease control and prevention I worked in an enteric disease laboratory for about 3 months. I am not familiar with the “stool kit” you reference here but I am familiar with its’ contents, intimately familiar. My biggest take home message from my time in that lab, bloody diarrhea smells much worse than regular diarrhea. Avoid it like the plague, which ironically enough is not transmitted via fecal matter and only sometimes causes diarrhea.
