…lling to agree. But in the rare cases you sense hesitation, just re-iterate why you’re doing this: “I just want to make sure we get the most value out of this time as possible by reviewing everything we learn and capturing any action items.”
How about instead of jam-packing every sentence with cliched and over-used bus-speak terms that are important sounding but ultimately meaningless you just say it in plain English. “I need an extra 5 minutes to summarize.” More meetings would end on time if people talked like normal human beings instead of HBR* dictionary programmed robots.
