Imagine that, a thing which does not yet exist and may not for another 200–300 years or never, is going to drive the future of computing. Truly a bright future awaits for our grandchildren’s, grandchildren, maybe, possibly, I think, or then again maybe not. The last time a non-existent thing got this much attention, the Greeks were prostrating themselves before Zeus at Mount Olympus. Hopefully our own future is a bit brighter than theirs. I suppose once the singularity happens we will all be living in our own little happy Utopian version of the home of the Gods. I for one cannot wait, I already have my silicon slippers packed. I plan to name my first AI Johnny Pneumonny. It is going to be great, finally, I will have a real friend! Predictions about the future of AI have never been wrong before and will continue their track record of 100% accuracy for sure. Hurry up future, get here now, I can’t wait any longer.
