Lol! I just started reading KaJ by Pollock based on your rec. love it so far. Thanks! It should be a more widely read tome. Seems like it languished on the backlist of Princetown U. Press for far too long. I will have a lot to say about it on medium after I have finished it and had some time to digest, so stay tuned. I am sure you are breathless with anticipation. Hah!
I just finished reading Brain Imaging, What it Can (and Cannot) Tell Us About Consciousness. Author is Robert Shulman. He was an early NMR researcher. Truly a pioneer in the field. It’s a slim volume and a quick read but well worth your time.
I also always recommend Julian Jaynes seminal work. The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind. I still consider it the most thought provoking book I have yet read, and I have read a lot. That does not imply that I endorse Jaynes thesis, only that it brilliantly original and really a joy to think deeply about.
