You are obviously brilliant, very well read, an excellent writer, and most likely a really great person. I have started following your work and look forward to more good stuff. Because of all that it truly pains me to see you associated with the fatally flawed (logically, conceptually, and actually) term/idea/concept/belief/thing, “known” as “machine learning.” Machines cannot learn. The are incapable of that activity and the term itself is a logical contradiction. And I do not accept the excuse of “the learning in machine learning is different from learning as it relates to humans learning” or that “the term is not meant to be taken literally.” A very simplistic overview of some of the fundamental problems with the use of the term “machine learning” if you follow the link below.
