Nice throwback reference and an interesting analogy though not exactly the same. The SnL bit plays on the likeness in sound of the words violin and violence whereas I simply take the word ‘shingle’ at its much more common usage and definition and respond in a serious manner (much like the editorial rebuttal in the SnL bit) to a serious piece. In any case hundreds of thousands, likely millions of people have seen the violins on TV skit and found it hilarious and brilliant, while a grand total of 2 have seen and read my shingles piece. Encouragingly at least one, you, at least got a chuckle out of it. I am not worried. Humor of this caliber and genius takes time for the average Joe or Jane to truly appreciate. Give it 40 years or so and I think it could catch up. lol!

As always thanks for reading and commenting Stephen. It goes without saying that you must be an erudite man of good tastes since I can always count on you to say something about even my most ridiculous musings. Happy 4th to ya!
