Not to be too much of a snob elitist here but shouldn’t we aspire higher as writers then Dan Brown? I mean, I guess he’s OK and all, but seriously, Dan Brown? Of all the great writers throughout history one might select to try and emulate why would I pick him? Oh yeah, right, because he’s the one that made a shit-ton of money, and had his books made into movies with Tom Hanks in them. What did all those so called “literary greats” ever do? Nothing, that’s what. Can you do a workshop on how to write like Micheal Crichton next? A dream of mine is to have one of my novels made into a movie with Newman from Seinfeld.
