Oh No, Something Terrible Has Happened
I truly thought things could not get any worse in terms of belt availability. The much discussed death of belts with holes was a devastating blow to the entire belt using community. The ramifications of it were and still are so far reaching that the true impact of the loss won’t be known for years, if not decades. Now, on top of that terrible tragedy comes this horrible news. It seems all normal belts are now dead.
I have reached out to the author of the piece in question for clarification on their definition of “normal.” Certainly there can be disagreement on this point. Since the death of belts with holes everything has turned upside down, who can say what a “normal” belt is, and what an abnormal one? I myself am struggling to comprehend what precisely this may mean. Do Velcro belts count as “normal?” What about the kind with the little plastic clips? Fuck, it’s just too much to think about, too much to take in at once. I need to sit down, let myself adjust to this new world we once again find ourselves in.
Good luck to you dear reader, may you find a way to keep your pants up today, tomorrow, and ever more. Stay strong and God bless, we will get through this, together.
