Once upon a time that entrepreneurial spirit of Generation X was not so exalted. In fact we were called slackers and lazy and many other less then complimentary things by our baby boom detractors. The big difference between Gen X and the millennials is that we did not care what people said or thought about us. That was the whole key to being part of GenX, lack of giving a fuck about anything. We did not give a fuck, and still don’t. Millenials on the other hand care, and care so deeply, about every freakin thing. See this whining cry baby article for the perfect example. No wonder they are so easily hurt. My advice to millenials is simple, stop caring so much what other people think and just do the right thing. I am fairly certain you know what that is. Don’t do the right thing for other people, to make other people thing you are great or special or whatever, but just because it is the right thing to do. And stop fucking crying so much, the world’s tiniest violin I keep on me at all times can’t take much more of this shit.
