These days with machines learning left and right, and artificial intelligences on every street corner it just doesn’t seem like good form to bring up the topic in polite conversation. I don’t know about you but compared to the AI’s running my city’s traffic light system, driving my car, and living in my phone I feel awfully inadequate. How can a mere human level intelligence ever hope to compete with an artificial version so powerful it can control all of the elevators in an entire city block, optimizing them to minimize wait times for all the building occupants? I for one don’t think we can. Look at what AI has done to revolutionize our health care system. I mean, just freakin look. Free care for all, no waiting, doctors practically begging you to be a patient at their office. That never could have happened without the AI revolution. And what have humans done this whole time? Jack freakin squat, that’s what. Too busy wasting our time working in research labs across the globe doing groundbreaking science in physics, chemistry, biology etc. when we should have been coordinating planes in the airspace over JFK to reduce the chances of mid-air collisions. Artificial intelligence 100 human intelligence 0 is the current score and its only the start of the second quarter. I quit.
