This implies that Siri has some level of emotional intelligence to begin with. Leaving aside the thorny and highly debatable topic of what exactly emotional intelligence is or if it even exists, I can say with certainty that Siri has none, for Siri has no intelligence at all. Siri is a computer program, an algorithm, a set of code and bundle of silicon and wires plugged into a wall somewhere (metaphorically speaking of course). Asking Siri to have more emotional intelligence is liking asking rain to be more dry, it is a logical impossibility. You are really asking Siri’s programmers to be more clever in programming Siri’s responses to emotionally charged questions. Unfortunately, asking programmers to be clever is almost as lost a cause as asking Siri to be more intelligent. Not a logical impossibility but it has about as low a probability of success.
