Very nice piece Gid and all great points. The other thing people should understand about this study is that the bioluminescence activity assay used to assess biotoxicity in this study is itself an “experimental” approach and not even close to universally agreed upon as a legitimate method for doing this. It of course also requires the use of genetically modified E. coli making it even less representative of the actual toxicity of the agent that is purportedly being measured.
